MODERASI JENIS KELAMIN DAN USIA PADA PENGARUH CELEBRITY WORSHIP TERHADAP SUBJECTIVE WELL-BEING PENGGEMAR K-POP

Perkembangan budaya Korea semakin tersebar di seluruh dunia, termasuk Indonesia. Salah satu budaya Korea yang paling populer di Indonesia adalah K-Pop. Penggemar K-Pop di Indonesia tersebar pada berbagai kelompok usia, didominasi oleh remaja dan dewasa awal, serta didominasi oleh jenis kelamin perempuan. Sejauh mana penggemar melakukan aktivitas mengagumi selebriti K-Pop favoritnya menentukan bagaimana subjective well-being yang dialaminya. Hasil penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya ditemukan hasil yang tidak konsisten bagaimana pengaruh celebrity worship terhadap subjective well-being. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh celebrity worship terhadap subjective well-being pada penggemar K-Pop. Penelitian ini juga mengenai peran jenis kelamin dan usia dalam memoderasi pengaruh celebrity worship terhadap subjective well-being pada penggemar K-Pop. Jumlah partisipan penelitian ini adalah sebanyak lima ratus tiga belas penggemar K-Pop berjenis kelamin perempuan dan laki-laki yang berusia remaja hingga dewasa awal. Untuk mengukur subjective well-being, digunakan alat ukur Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) dan Scale of Positive and Negative Experience (SPANE). Sedangkan, untuk mengukur celebrity worship digunakan alat ukur Celebrity Attitude Scale (CAS). Peneliti menggunakan uji regresi linear untuk mengetahui pengaruh celebrity worship terhadap subjective well-being, serta moderasi dari jenis kelamin dan usia. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa celebrity worship berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap subjective well-being pada penggemar K-Pop. Selain itu, ditemukan bahwa jenis kelamin tidak memoderasi pengaruh celebrity worship terhadap subjective well-being pada penggemar K-Pop. Berbeda dengan jenis kelamin, usia memoderasi pengaruh celebrity worship terhadap subjective well-being pada penggemar K-Pop. Pada dewasa awal, celebrity worship berpengaruh positif terhadap subjective well-being, sedangkan hal ini tidak terjadi pada remaja.
